Administrative Assistant
16-20 hours per week
Reports to: Executive Director
Purpose: Provide support to Executive Director and other staff in several areas.
Responsibilities
- Office Tasks
- Accounts payable and accounts receivable
- Maintain office supply inventory
- Data entry
- Pick up and sort mail
- Help track, manage, and distribute donated product and supplies
- Assist Executive Director with various tasks and projects
- Communication
- Church bulletin announcements, weekly prayer concerns, and monthly collection requests.
- Giving receipts to all contributors
- Annual Banquet booklet
- Create and distribute various flyers/newsletters/promotional material
- Social media
- Other church, agency, and school communication as assigned
- Ministry Assistance
- Loving Help
- Shop With a Cop
- Thanksgiving Food Boxes
- Furniture and transportation
- Others as assigned
- Meetings
- Complete training and attend meetings as necessary
- Assist in organizing the Annual Banquet
- Assist with meeting preparation
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Personal relationship with Jesus Christ and agreement with the Apostles’ Creed
- Commitment to personal spiritual growth
- Discernment, non-judgmental attitude and the ability to listen, empathize, and accept others
- Above average organization skills
- Excellent verbal and writing communication
- Detail-oriented, striving for excellence
- Ability to understand and follow oral and written instructions
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively
- Computer skills: Excel, Word, Publisher, and financial software
